Clear prices, honest answers

From €100 (Ostwind) or €110 (Melkerstübchen) per night – cheaper from 5 nights. Plus a one-off €60 final cleaning; 7% VAT is added to accommodation, cleaning and extras. Water and electricity are usually included. In winter (Nov–Feb) it is reduced: Ostwind from €70, Melkerstübchen from €75 per night – only Christmas/New Year at the regular rate. You see the exact total (incl. VAT) for your dates before booking – no hidden fees.

Outside the holidays you book from 2 nights. During German school holidays (Easter, summer and autumn – counted across all federal states, from the earliest start to the latest end) a 5-night minimum applies. In winter it stays flexible from 2 nights. If your dates are taken, our search automatically suggests fitting alternatives.

You book directly with us – no portal in between. After your booking you receive the payment details and transfer the total within 14 days; once it arrives we confirm bindingly. If nothing comes in, the reservation is released automatically. You also receive a PDF invoice.

Let us know as early as you can – we almost always find a good solution. The binding cancellation terms are in our T&Cs. Holiday lets have no statutory 14-day right of withdrawal; instead you have a direct, personal line to us.

Yes, in both flats. Through the forest, across the farm, into the living room in the evening. We charge €25 per dog. Please note: this is a living farm with horses and other animals – consideration helps everyone.

Yes. Gut Waitzrodt served as “Gut Kaltenbach” in the Ostwind films. You may recognise the covered terrace of the Ostwind flat. A location tour can be booked on site.

Ostwind sleeps up to 4, Melkerstübchen up to 5. The Melkerstübchen also has a travel cot and high chair.

Check-in from 3 pm, check-out by 10:30 am (late check-out on request if no following guests). Arrive by car (private parking) or by ICE train to Kassel-Wilhelmshöhe, RegioTram to Immenhausen and bus 173 towards Holzhausen to Gut Waitzrodt – pick-up on request.

Honestly: you hear the horses in the morning, it can smell of animals, it gets muddy in the rain, and sometimes there is riding or a tournament. If that is what you are after, you will love it – resort sterility is for elsewhere.

Pony rides, the Ostwind location tour, e-bike trips, children’s quads, a tree-house playground and more. These belong to Gut Waitzrodt and can be experienced or booked on site – they are not part of the flat itself.
