Pony riding

For many children the best part of the holiday: the first time on a pony. Right here on the estate — led and calm — and for the older ones a proper riding lesson at the right level.

Pony leading for the little ones

A gentle first contact with the ponies — led, calm, at their own pace, with a helmet and someone right beside them.

Riding lessons by level

From the very first time to confident riding — as a single or small-group lesson, in the indoor school or the arena.

Right on the estate

The riding school is here on Gut Waitzrodt — no driving, just walk across the yard.

Pony riding belongs to Gut Waitzrodt and is booked on site — it is not part of the holiday flat itself.

First a hello

Meet the ponies first

Before anything starts, there is time to say hello in peace — Snoopy and his friends love a gentle hand. Then the first rounds happen led, at your child’s own pace, with a helmet and someone right beside them.

For every level

From the first round to a real lesson

The riding school on the estate teaches from the very first time to confident riding — as a single or small-group lesson, in the indoor school or out on the arena. Every child (and many a grown-up) finds the lesson that fits.

A living riding estate

Right in the middle of it

Ponies and horses, the indoor school, the arenas, the long tree-lined drive — this is a real, working riding estate. Out of the window you already see what your children will not want to leave all day.

Good to know

How pony riding works here

  • For every level — from the first led round to a proper lesson.
  • Helmets are available; please bring sturdy shoes and weather-appropriate clothes.
  • Generally no lessons on the day of arrival or departure (no sensible time window).
  • Booked on site through the riding school — tell us your wishes and we arrange the rest.

Booking riding lessons

Tell us about the young riders when you book

During booking you can add details about each riding child: age, height, weight and previous riding experience. With that, the riding school sorts every child into the right group, allocates suitable times — and is informed automatically. You don’t have to chase anything; we get back to you with the details.

  • Age, height, weight & experience per child
  • Right group & right time slot
  • The riding school is notified automatically
